The 1st International Symposium on Fiber-Reinforced Shotcrete for Underground Mining (InFUM) was held between October 1st and 4th at PUC-Rio. The meeting included lectures and a visit to the Structures and Materials Laboratory with leading experts from the international community to discuss and present advances and innovations in the use of fiber-reinforced shotcrete. One of InFUM's partner institutions is the American Shotcrete Association, which promoted mini-courses during the event.
